Epic MegaGolf

EPMGolf.jpg

Combining a teeny-tiny military with a huge suburban backyard, Epic MegaGolf is a 3-player co-op absurdist parody of military and golf games, two genres that take themselves way too seriously.

I was an Engineer and a UI/UX Designer for this 4-month Unreal Editor for Fornite (UEFN) project.

We developed a Live-Ops plan for our game as well. Each game is meant to be completed in 20 minutes.

Responsibilities - Engineer and UI/UX Designer (4 people)

  • Researched the novel UEFN engine to determine the best engineering and UI/UX implementation practices for our features, Events List, and Respawning at Checkpoints

  • Utilized Figma to prototype and share mockups with teammates and worked with their feedback

  • Implemented preliminary UI/UX mockups in UEFN that adhere to the military themes

  • Assisted in writing and providing feedback to the Live-Ops Plan, a model that indicated the game could be played indefinitely if launched to the public

  • Set designed the world using Unreal Fortnite-provided assets to give the feeling the players are in a teeny-tiny soldiers

  • Sourced ambient music that aligned with the designer's vision to improve player experience
